The Ohio State University Alumni Association is a member-centered organization dedicated to connecting our alumni to the university they love. Our more than 126,000 members turn this affinity into action that benefits Ohio State by serving as ambassadors, recruiting outstanding students, giving advice, and providing financial support for students and the university.
We have a global presence through more than 50 societies and 200 clubs throughout the world. But we strive to stay connected no matter how many miles separate us, showing how firm alumni friendship is for Ohio State.
Archie Griffin became president and CEO of the Alumni Association on Jan. 1, 2004. It is one of the biggest dues-supported alumni associations in the world.
“As president and CEO, I want the association to be the gateway to Ohio State for all alumni," he said. "We work hard to make it possible for all graduates and former students to stay connected and make Ohio State stronger.”
The Ohio State Alumni Association was a leading model for alumni work throughout the 20th century. Griffin’s goal is to assure the association is the leading model for 21st century alumni work. To accomplish this goal, the Alumni Association has adopted a five-point strategic plan designed to enhance our member services and strengthen ties with Ohio State.
The Ohio State University Alumni Association is committed to fostering a climate of inclusion. We recognize the strength we gather from the great diversity of our alumni, and believe our future growth rests in our ability to recognize, incorporate, and enhance diversity through leadership, programs, services, employment and publications.
We are continually seeking individuals who would like to become more involved with us. Our members are our greatest asset, and we rely on them to advance our mission to connect alumni, students, and friends in lifelong support of Ohio State and each other. In turn, we offer our alumni an array of services, including robust programming, compelling communications, and a connection to more than 400,000 alumni worldwide.
